Overview

Pokhara, located in the foothills of the Himalayas in Nepal, is one of the world's top destinations for paragliding. This adventurous activity allows you to fly like a bird over the stunning landscapes of Nepal, with breathtaking views of the Annapurna range, Mount Machhapuchhre, and the serene Phewa Lake.

The paragliding season in Pokhara typically runs from September to April, when the skies are clear and the weather is mild. During this time, visitors from all over the world come to experience the thrill of soaring over the mountains and valleys of Nepal.

The paragliding experience in Pokhara begins with a safety briefing and an introduction to the equipment by a certified instructor. You will then be harnessed to a trained pilot and together, you will take off from Sarangkot, a hilltop village located about 20 minutes from Pokhara.

Once in the air, you will feel a rush of adrenaline as you fly over the picturesque landscape. The experience is both peaceful and exhilarating, as you glide through the sky with the wind in your face and the panoramic views below.

The flight lasts between 20 to 45 minutes, depending on weather conditions and the type of package you choose. Some packages include acrobatic maneuvers for an extra thrill, while others offer a more relaxed sightseeing experience.

No prior experience is necessary for paragliding in Pokhara, as the instructor will handle all the technical aspects of the flight. However, it's important to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and to bring a camera to capture the stunning views.

Overall, paragliding in Pokhara is an unforgettable adventure that should not be missed. It offers a unique perspective of the natural beauty of Nepal, and a chance to soar over the mountains like a bird. So, if you're looking for a thrilling experience in Nepal, add paragliding in Pokhara to your bucket list!
